The average sales price during September 2013 was $231,478 up 3.4% compared to last year’s average sales price of $223,938. The percentage of original list price received increased by 4.2% from last September to this September - 90.1% of the original list price last year compared to 93.9% this year. Homes are selling in nearly half the time it took last year, the average list and sales price are BOTH up and sellers are receiving a greater percentage of their original list price. It’s safe to say the New Lenox real estate market is doing well!
The number of new listings during September 2013 was 2% lower than last year – 50 new listings this September and 51 new listings last September. The number of listings under contract increased 30.4% this September compared to last – 30 listings under contract this September compared to only 23 listings under contract last September!
