The average list price in New Lenox during September 2014 was $294,109 which is 0.8% lower compared to last September’s average list price of $296,430. The average sales price during September 2014 was $243,050 up 4.9% compared to last year’s average sales price of $231,750. The percentage of original list price received is 2.3% higher than last September - 93.9% of the original list price last year compared to 96.1% this year. Properties are selling more quickly this year compared to last while list price remains nearly the same. Properties are selling for higher prices and sellers are receiving a higher percentage of their original list prices.
The number of new listings during September 2014 was 26% higher than last year – 63 new listings this September compared to 50 new listings last September. The number of listings under contract increased by a whopping 53.8% this September compared to last – 40 listings under contract this September compared to only 26 listings under contract last September!
