There were 190 New Lenox homes for sale in September, down 21.5% from September 2014, with 242 homes for sale. There were 53 homes closed in New Lenox during September 2015, up 20.5% from last year with 44 closings last September. With less inventory and more closings, the market is definitely tougher for buyers to negotiate and find properties.

The average market time for New Lenox during September 2015 was 98 days compared to only 76 days last year in September, which is 28.9% higher. The average list price in New Lenox during September 2015 was $317,400 which is 7.9% higher compared to last September’s average list price of $294,109. The average sales price during September 2015 was $247,335 up 5.2% compared to last year’s average sales price of $235,199. The percentage of original list price received is down 2.1% from last September - 96.1% of the original list price last year and 94.1% this year.

The number of new listings during September 2015 was 14.3% higher than last year – 72 new listings this September compared to only 63 new listings last September. The number of listings under contract decreased this September compared to last - 35 listings under contract this year compared to 38 last year.
